Mizu is a Japanese restaurant based in Vaduz, Liechtenstein (Städtle 29, 9490). I found this restaurant online and after seeing photos of the food, I knew that I had to visit immediately. The next day, together with my husband, we have arrived at the restaurant and were informed that we should book the table in advance. However, we were lucky enough because the table was waiting for us already an hour after. Overall the food is expensive but worth the price.

We began by sharing some starters and ordered this beautiful and delicious nigiri piece with caviar and pieces of gold.

This was our second starter. You could taste the freshness of fish at every bite. In the past, we travelled to Milan for the best sushi we have ever tried, which was made in front of us. However, after visiting Mizu we will no longer feel the need to travel so far away for our favourite dishes.

This crispy fried rice stole the show! It was melting in my mouth and every bite felt like the flavours were dancing in my mouth. We love it so much that we ordered it once again after finishing this portion.

Then it was a time for the main course. I ordered crispy rice with shrimp. Once again a dish that was completely different from what I imagined (in a good way, of course). The shrimps were seasoned perfectly.

This is my husband's main meal. He loved the tenderness of the meat and the way the garnish was prepared and presented.

Finally it was a time for a dessert! This matcha tiramisu will forever stay in my heart. Easily the best tiramisu I have ever tried! I'm planning to visit the restaurant once again soon just so I can order the tiramisu again.

Lava cake was my husband's dessert. I was so busy with my dessert that I didn't try his. However, my daughter who usually doesn't like this type of dessert helped him finish it.
In the end we paid about CHF 250 but it was sooo worth it! Now I know where we will be spending our anniversaries and birthdays. :)
See you in our next blog!
