Cannes Best Restaurants

Updated: Aug 6

During my recent trip to Cannes, France, I had the pleasure of exploring the city's vibrant seafood scene. Being a seafood lover, I made it a point to dine at several local restaurants. While each place had its charm, I’ve chosen to highlight only the ones that truly stood out to me, spots I genuinely enjoyed and would gladly recommend to others seeking an unforgettable culinary experience by the sea.

Waiki Plege

One of my favorite dining spots in Cannes was Waikiki Plage. I loved the relaxed, beachside atmosphere so much that I ended up dining there three times. The grilled octopus was the best I’ve ever had perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Their oysters were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. With stunning views of the sea and a playful, all-pink decor, the place had a fun, Instagram-worthy vibe that made the whole experience even more memorable.

Au Mal Assis

Another standout was Au Mal Assis, where we enjoyed one of the most memorable meals of our trip. I had the best steamed mussels in white wine I’ve ever tasted rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the lobster and couldn’t stop raving about it. The restaurant overlooks the marina, offering a lovely view of the yachts, which adds to the charm. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish.

Marché Forville

For a more casual but equally impressive food experience, Marché Forville was a hidden gem. Although it’s a traditional food market, we were amazed by the quality of the meal—which cost only €14.90 but tasted better than dishes I’ve had in many restaurants. Right next to a fresh fish stand, a friendly vendor was cooking made-to-order meals on the spot. You could choose your seafood and have it prepared just the way you like it. It was authentic, affordable, and absolutely delicious—a must-visit for any food lover in Cannes.

La Pinede Cap D'All

I had a wonderful dining experience at La Pinède in Cap d'Alls, a beautifully located restaurant with breathtaking sea views. The decor was charming and thoughtfully done, creating a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special. The staff were incredibly helpful and quick, offering attentive service without being overbearing. The food was just as impressive, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I’m still thinking about the pasta with clams; it was so good it stayed with me long after the meal. La Pinède truly combines stunning surroundings, great service, and memorable cuisine.
